Johnson, CBA
Over
the past 20 years, Meg Johnson has been servicing the
Special Events industry. Meg has become a market leader
in the field of balloon sculpture. She produces arches,
centerpieces, company logos, exploding balloons, and life
size sculptures, to create exciting and memorable decorative
touches for every corporate and private event. Life's
celebrations are enhanced by Meg's enthusiastic service
and her ability to stay focused on the details, features
that are of immeasurable importance to her clients.
In 1996, Meg became Connecticut's first Certified Balloon Artist (CBA) through the successful completion of the Qualatex Balloon Network's Certification program where she received training in business operations including job costing using mathematical formulas and important principles of design. Meg has been described as a sculptor who uses balloons to create a specific atmosphere that translates a client's vision into art.
In 1999, working as a team member of balloon artists, she helped create the World's Largest Balloon Sculpture which is now in the Guinness Book of World Records. A graduate of the Women's Entrepreneurial Program at the Hartford College of Women and Johnson & Wales University of Culinary Arts, Meg is an active member in the Bridgeport and Shelton Chambers of Commerce and the Entrepreneurial Women's Network.
In 2006, Great Event Decorations became certified as a Women Owned Business by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). Meg has appeared on the television programs "Women in Business" and on Channel 12's "The Exchange." Meg has been featured in the Connecticut Post's WomanWise section. She has also been interviewed for numerous publications including the Bridgeport News, the Connecticut Post, the Fairfield Citizen, the Fairfield County Business Journal, the Stamford Advocate, the Trumbull Times and the Valley Republican-American.

Because of Eric's extraordinary combination of artistic
design and construction knowledge he has created parade
floats that have won numerous awards for the Barnum Festival
Ringmaster, Housatonic College, the Barnum Festival King
and Queen as well as Tom Thumb and Lavinia Warren.
The incredible parade floats, backdrops and staging décor that Eric has built stems from his years of carpentry and decorating experience. The satisfaction of creative solutions and of customer delight continues to motivate Eric's contributions to Great Event Decorations.
